Dr Daniel Foley is a specialist surgeon in Melbourne Australia. Dr Foley graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2008. He then undertook specialist training in General Surgery through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. This training was based out of The Alfred Hospital (Melbourne) where he was the Principle Surgical Registrar. After completing his specialist training, Dr Foley undertook two years of subspecialist training in Upper GI surgery. The first of these years was at Monash Hospital (Melbourne) and the second at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospital (London).
Dr Foley sees all patients with Upper GI, Bariatric and General Surgical conditions and has a specialist interest in cancer of the oesophagus (gullet or food pipe) and stomach, weight loss surgery, gastro-oesphageal reflux disease and gallstones. He is also an accredited endoscopist.
